The Tampa Internet eXchange has presence at the following locations:
- The Franklin Exchange, 655 North Franklin Street, 12th Floor (Hostway) or the 6th floor Meet-Me-Room.
- The Madison Building, 412 East Madison Street, 10/11/12th Floors (Hostway).
- The Lykes Building, 400 North Tampa Street.
The following connection types are currently available in all locations:
- Single- and Multi-mode optical gigabit and 100Base-FX Ethernet.
- 10/100/1000Base Ethernet over copper.

rules
Peering is a cooperative effort. All participants must observe the following basic rules or be asked to leave the exchange:
- All arranged peering must be bilateral.
- Connections must be made to a router, or a layer 3 switch with a port in route-only mode or its own VLAN. The maximum number of MAC addresses you can present to the exchange is exactly one unless otherwise prearranged with exchange staff.
- No Spanning Tree packets may be delivered to the exchange under any circumstances.
- BGP-4 is used for peering and peers must set NEXT_HOP_SELF if advertising routes from other TampaIX participants.
- Participants may not direct unwarranted traffic or otherwise use another participant's resources without permission.
- Please limit broadcast and unknown unicast traffic on the exchange. Disable services such as CDP, FDP.
- Manipulating your MAC address or another participant's ARP traffic will result in your instant removal from the exchange.
